Hospitality Students Present Tourism Ideas to West Haven City Officials
After spending weeks developing a tourism marketing plan for the city of West Haven, talking to city officials, gathering event lists, visiting restaurants, taking and collecting photos of the sprawling beachfront, creating a visitors guide and a budget that would cover all costs, two groups of senior hospitality and tourism management students had just minutes to pitch their ideas to Mayor Edward O’Brien and other city officials.

On November 10th, 2014 the HTMG 1165 Introduction to Hospitality Course attended the International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant Show® at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, allowing the students to network with industry professionals and learn about different sectors of the hospitality industry
