Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) is a student organization that focuses on networking in the private club industry. The private club industry includes a variety of clubs such as country, city, golf, yacht, etc.. We attend monthly meetings with the Connecticut chapter of CMAA to meet with business professionals and attend the educational topic sessions. The student chapter hosts the November meeting every year. We also attend the World Conference during the spring semester. At conference, students have the opportunity to learn more about the club industry through student symposiums, educational sessions, and speakers. Students also have the ability to network with professionals from across the nation and receive internship or career opportunities.

Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) strides to prepare its members for the event management industry and other related fields. PCMA Is a national professional affiliation with both student and professional chapters. The student chapter at the University of New Haven works with the Greater New York area professional chapter in creating bonds among our members and professionals in the industry. PCMA holds a national conference every year that brings meeting and event professionals together, along with the student members, for several days of networking and professional seminars. At the conference, the UNH PCMA members have the opportunity to be mentored by an industry professional, while networking with other, and attend seminars in a variety of topics, including technology, leadership, resume building, and more. On campus, PCMA works with a number of organizations to host a number of events including a Linked In workshop with the Career Development Center.

National Society of Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH) aims at helping minority students succeed in the Hospitality Industry. We build professional relationships with businessmen and business women already in the Industry to seek guidance and encourage students to pursue their goals. We use our skills in the Hospitality field to provide services to others as a way to prepare for our future careers in the industry. Throughout the year, we participate in numerous community service events, local industry outlooks, and hold our National Hospitality Week on campus in the spring. We also attend the Regional and National Conferences to meet other NSMH members from around the world and industry professionals looking to hire our members for jobs and internships.
