Department Hosts 2nd Annual “Love Is…A Full Plate”
On Friday February 6th, 2015, the Hospitality and Tourism Management Department hosted the 2nd Annual “Love Is…A Full Plate” dinner, silent auction and book signing to benefit End Hunger CT! Executive Chef and Owner, Tanya Holland, attended and spoke at the event in support of End Hunger CT!, as well as interacted with the guests and gave them each a signed copy of her cookbook, Brown Sugar Kitchen: New- Style, Down-Home Recipes from Sweet West Oakland.
Focusing on The Sweetest Thing On Earth, the event featured a four course dinner and sugar tasting experience to follow a cocktail hour where guests enjoyed recipes from Holland’s book. Guests were also able to take part in both a silent and live auction. The event was prepared and executed by the students in the HTMG 4480-(01, 02) Resort Operations & Property Management Capstone 2 courses.
