HTM Hosts Dinner at LAFP Auction Winner’s Home
One of the amazing things about our Hospitality & Tourism Management Program here at UNH, is the ability of our students to apply the skills they learn in the classroom, into hands-on, real world experiences. From planning and executing events, to consulting with businesses in the area, HTM students gets the real world experience they’ll need to be successful in their chosen careers and beyond.
On October 1st, 2016, the HTM Department hosted a dinner party at the home of Richard and Zach Miller-Murphy. Delectable courses, accompanied by exquisite wines made the night one truly to remember. The Miller-Murphy family were the lucky live auction winners in this past year’s annual Love is a Full Plate event; a themed fundraising dinner and cocktail party that features a celebrity chef and benefits End Hunger CT! During this past Love is a Full Plate event, which featured celebrity chef George Mendes, students auctioned off a private party for 8, to be staffed, managed, and catered by our very own HTM students and faculty, such as Chef Chris Gentile (pictured below with student Dan Perrucci)
The dinner consisted of 7 courses, each accompanied by a wine that complemented the flavor profile of each dish perfectly. With the HTM Faculty and students preparing and serving, everything ran smoothly and guests had a fabulous time.
